# The League

**The League is Extended's staking tier system.** 

Your staked XTEN balance sets your tier, from Pawn to King, and your tier sets the level of every XTEN benefit on the exchange.

#### How tiers work <a href="#how-tiers-work" id="how-tiers-work"></a>

* Your tier is set by your total staked XTEN balance. The thresholds are minimums: stake 5,000 XTEN or more, and you are a Knight.
* The tier applies as soon as you stake. There is no waiting period.
* One staked balance counts across all sub-accounts linked to the same wallet.
* Without a staked balance, there is no League tier, fee discount or Vault Extra Yield Boost.
* From TGE, League tiers replace the Points ranking as the basis for the vault boost.

* [Vault Extra Yield Boost](/extended-resources/xten/vault-extra-yield-boost.md): 0.5x at Pawn to 5x at King on the extra yield of the Extended Vault, up to a deposit cap that rises from $5,000 at Pawn to $2,000,000 at King. The multiplier does not apply to Base Yield or guarantee any return.

#### [Vault](/extended-resources/vault.md) deposit caps <a href="#vault-deposit-caps" id="vault-deposit-caps"></a>

Your tier sets how much of your XVS balance earns the boosted Extra Yield. XVS above the cap earns Base Yield only, so moving up a tier raises both the multiplier and the balance it applies to. The cap for each tier is shown above.

**Example.** A depositor with $250,000 in XVS earns the 2x boost on the full balance at Rook. At Knight, only the first $50,000 is boosted at 1x, and the remaining $200,000 earns Base Yield only. See [Vault Extra Yield Boost](/extended-resources/xten/vault-extra-yield-boost.md).
