# Migration from Starknet to Arc

Eligibility and jurisdictional restrictions apply. Trading involves risk of total loss. See the Terms, Risk Statement and Restricted Countries.

**Published:** 8 October 2026

### Overview

Extended is moving its settlement network from Starknet to Arc, a Layer 1 blockchain developed by Circle for financial markets, as the first step of a strategic partnership between Extended and Circle.

The migration will start on **22 October 2026 at 12:00 UTC**.

### What this means for you

Most users do not need to take any action. If you don't hold USDT or wBTC, your account and sub-accounts, balances, positions, orders, account history and points will migrate to Arc automatically. You will continue to log in with the same wallet and keys, including if you use a Starknet wallet. If your USDT or wBTC balance is worth more than USD 1 in at least one sub-account, you need to take action by **21 October 2026 at 12:00 UTC.** See the "Users holding USDT or wBTC" section below for details. Deposits of USDT and wBTC will be disabled on all chains from **8 October 2026**.

### Trading, Deposits & Withdrawals during the migration

Trading will continue without interruption. Deposits and withdrawals will be paused for up to 2 hours during the migration, while transfers between your sub-accounts will remain available. This temporary pause is a technical measure for the network transition and does not affect ownership of your funds, which will remain associated with your account throughout the migration.

Please make sure you have sufficient balance in your sub-accounts before the migration to cover your margin requirements and keep your positions open and orders active while deposits and withdrawals are paused.

### Users holding USDT or wBTC

USDT and wBTC are not available on Arc. Deposits of both assets will be disabled on all chains from **8 October 2026**.

If either asset is worth more than USD 1 in at least one sub-account, you need to choose one of the following options by **21 October 2026 at 12:00 UTC**:

1. **Authorise the conversion.** In the app, authorise Extended to convert your USDT to USDC and your wBTC to cirBTC, the Bitcoin-backed token issued by Circle. The conversion will take place during the migration at 1:1, with no fee. Extended will separately credit a **0.50% premium** on the converted amount within 8 hours after the migration. The authorisation cannot be revoked, but you can still withdraw until **22 October, 12:00 UTC.**
2. **Withdraw both assets.** Withdraw your USDT and wBTC so that each asset's remaining balance is worth USD 1 or less in every sub-account.

**If you do neither by the deadline:**

1. **Your account will be temporarily restricted while we process it.** Immediately after the deadline on **21 October 2026 at 12:00 UTC**, for up to 30 minutes you will be unable to perform any actions on all your sub-accounts while Extended processes the steps below. This includes trading, placing or cancelling orders, deposits, withdrawals and transfers between sub-accounts. After the account is processed the restrictions will be removed. During this time, standard liquidation rules continue to apply to open positions in your other sub-accounts, and you will not be able to add margin or close them. Make sure those sub-accounts are adequately margined before the deadline.
2. **Orders will be cancelled and positions closed.** Extended will cancel all orders, including stop-loss, take-profit and API orders, and close positions at the mark price with no fees, in each sub-account in which USDT or wBTC is worth more than USD 1 at the deadline. Other sub-accounts will not be affected.
3. **USDT and wBTC will be withdrawn.** Extended will return all your USDT and wBTC to the wallet you log in with, covering the withdrawal fees for both EVM and Starknet wallets. EVM wallets will receive the assets on Ethereum together with USD 5 in ETH to help cover the network fees for moving them to the network of your choice. Starknet wallets will receive the assets on Starknet and will not receive the additional USD 5 in ETH. If a transfer cannot be completed because of a legal or compliance restriction, a blocked destination address, a network failure or another technical issue, the affected assets will remain associated with your account and available through a recovery process.
4. **Your account will migrate to Arc.** After these steps, your account will migrate automatically starting from **22 October 2026 at 12:00 UTC**, along with all other accounts.

If each asset is worth USD 1 or less in every sub-account, you do not need to act. These small balances will be converted 1:1 to USDC and cirBTC during the migration, with no fee and no premium.

### FAQ

**Does the migration affect referral status, fee tier, points or trading history?**

No. Your referral status, fee tier, points and trading history will not be affected by the migration.

**Do I need to authorise the conversion of USDT and wBTC separately for each asset or sub-account?**

No. One authorisation covers both USDT and wBTC across all your sub-accounts.

**Can I still withdraw after authorising the conversion?**

Yes. The authorisation cannot be revoked, but you can still withdraw your USDT and wBTC until the migration begins. Only the balances remaining at that time will be converted.

**Can I authorise the conversion through the API?**

No. Authorisation is available only in the app.

**How will USDC, ETH and XVS move to Arc?**

USDC will move to native USDC on Arc through Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), which burns USDC on Starknet and mints the same amount on Arc, so the amount and the account do not change. ETH will move to Arc 1:1 and will be held there as wETH, a wrapped representation of ETH. XVS will be preserved, meaning that the Vault, the assets behind it and your withdrawal rights will remain the same on Arc.

**Can the migration have tax consequences for me?**

Closing a position or converting an asset may have tax consequences for you.
